Privacy
Privacy and POPIA.
This draft notice outlines how Colourfy intends to handle personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Information we collect
Account details, team member email addresses, billing information, uploaded photos, and service usage may be processed to provide Colourfy.
How information is used
Information may be used to operate accounts, process subscriptions, provide support, improve the service, and meet legal obligations.
Sharing and storage
Information should only be shared with service providers where needed to deliver Colourfy, with appropriate safeguards and retention periods.
Preventing free-trial abuse
To keep the free trial fair, each email address can start one free trial. When you sign up we store a simplified version of your email address (lower-case, without any “+” label, and for Gmail without dots) and compare new sign-ups against it. We also block temporary or throwaway email services using a public list of such domains, and use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that sign-ups come from a person rather than an automated script; Cloudflare processes technical details such as your IP address and browser signals for this check only. We rely on our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and misuse (POPIA section 11(1)(f)). The simplified email is kept after an account is closed solely to prevent repeat trials, and is never used for marketing. You may object or ask about this record using the contact details below.
Trial accounts and data retention
If a free trial ends without a paid plan, the account becomes view-only. Photos, folders, colour options and share links are kept for 90 days, with email reminders 30 and 7 days before deletion, and are then permanently deleted, including shared images.
Your POPIA rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, or object to certain processing, subject to applicable law.
Privacy enquiries
A confirmed privacy contact and request process will be added before launch.
